Packers claim RB Darrin Hall off waivers from Bengals

The Green Bay Packers are adding another running back to the mix early in training camp.

According to Field Yates of ESPN, the Packers claimed running back Darrin Hall (5-11, 225) off waivers from the Cincinnati Bengals.

Hall, a rookie from Pitt, signed with the Cleveland Browns after going undrafted. He was claimed by the Bengals on May 8 and waived by the team on Friday.

As a senior at Pitt last season, Hall gained 1,114 yards and scored 10 touchdowns while averaging 7.5 yards per carry and leading the ACC in yards after contact, per Pro Football Focus.

Hall joins a running back room that added veteran Corey Grant before Friday’s practice. The Packers also have Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams, Dexter Williams and Tra Carson.

The Packers waived rookie guard Larry Williams to make room on the roster for Hall.
