Packers CB Kevin King officially inactive vs. Buccaneers

The Green Bay Packers will be without a starter on defense against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.

Cornerback Kevin King is inactive with a quad injury. King missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday but returned on Friday in a limited fashion, leading to a questionable designation. After a warmup on the field at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday afternoon, the Packers decided to hold King out.

King started all four games for the Packers to start the season. Behind him, the Packers have Chandon Sullivan, Josh Jackson, Ka’dar Hollman and Parry Nickerson. Mike Pettine will have to figure out a way to slow down receivers Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Scott Miller without a starter at cornerback.

The Packers also made running back Tyler Ervin and quarterback Jordan Love inactive.

Outside linebackers Za’Darius Smith and Rashan Gary are both active despite questionable designations. So is defensive lineman Montravius Adams.

Receiver Davante Adams and defensive lineman Kenny Clark are both active and will return to the field after missing multiple games.

Receiver Equanimeous St. Brown, who was activated from injured reserve on Saturday, is active.

The Buccaneers will be without running back Leonard Fournette, who is inactive. However, starting cornerback Carlton Davis is active.

Kickoff between the Packers and Bucs is scheduled for 3:25 p.m. CT.
