Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander went from the brink of stardom to start the 2020 season to being widely recognized as one of the NFL’s top players to start 2021.
Alexander, a Pro Bowler and second-team All-Pro in 2020, ranked No. 41 on the NFL’s list of “The Top 100 Players of 2021.”
Alexander intercepted one pass and broke up 13 others over 15 games last season. Week after week, he erased the opponent’s No. 1 receiver from the stat book. In the NFC title game, Alexander intercepted Tom Brady twice as the Packers attempted a second-half comeback.
Pro Football Focus graded Alexander as the NFL’s No. 1 cornerback in 2020.
The Packers picked up his fifth-year option this summer, ensuring he’s under contract for at least another two seasons.
