The Green Bay Packers will go 6-0 against the NFC North for the first time since the 2011 season if they can beat the Detroit Lions at Ford Field on Sunday.
The Packers have already swept the season series against both the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings for the first time since 2014. A win over the Lions would create the Packers’ first division sweep in eight years.
Between 2012 and 2018, the Packers went 24-16-2 against the NFC North. They finished 5-1 in 2012, 2014 and 2016 but bottomed out at 1-4-1 in 2018.
First-year coach Matt LaFleur has the Packers on the doorstep of another 6-0 finish.

The Packers haven’t won in Detroit since the season finale in 2016. In fact, the Lions are 4-1 against the Packers in their last five meetings, including a pair of one-sided wins during each of the last two season finales.
The Packers, now 99-72-7 against the Lions, have a chance to win their 100th regular-season game against the franchise.
The Packers have already clinched a winning record against the Lions this decade. They’re 11-8 since 2010, with season sweeps over the Lions in 2011, 2012 and 2016 (and possibly 2019). The Lions swept the series in 2017 and 2018, the first sweeps over the Packers since 1991.
LaFleur’s team is 12-3 and has already clinched the NFC North title. A win over the Lions would clinch a first-round bye and create the possibility of securing the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs.
