Packers C Corey Linsley misses Monday’s practice with biceps injury

Green Bay Packers center Corey Linsley wasn’t available for Monday’s joint practice with the Houston Texans due to a biceps injury.

According to Rob Demovsky of ESPN, Linsley recently experienced soreness in his arm and had an MRI to assess the injury.

With Linsley out Monday, veteran Justin McCray took first-team reps to start teams drills against the Texans’ first-team defense.

The Packers are back at practice Tuesday morning for the second of the two joint practices with the Texans. It’s unclear if Linsley will be able to return or if the Packers choose to exercise caution and protect one of the team’s most reliably available players.

Linsley, who practiced Sunday, has started 44 straight games, with a consecutive snaps streak nearing 2,500. He hasn’t missed a game since the start of the 2016 season.

Rookie Elgton Jenkins and Cole Madison have also taken reps at center during camp.

The Packers were also without running backs Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams, cornerbacks Josh Jackson and Kevin King, linebackers Kendall Donnerson and Greg Roberts, offensive tackle Jason Spriggs and defensive lineman Fadol Brown during Monday’s practice.
