Packers C Corey Linsley clears concussion protocol, expects to play vs. Lions

The Green Bay Packers will return their ironman center on Monday night against the Detroit Lions.

According to Rob Demovsky of ESPN, Corey Linsley cleared concussion protocol and will play against the Lions.

The veteran center suffered a head injury last Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. He departed after only 18 snaps and didn’t return, leaving Lucas Patrick to handle duties over the final 54 snaps at center.

Linsley hasn’t missed a game since 2016. He practiced all three days this week, including Saturday, clearing his way to pass the league’s protocol and play on Monday night.

Returning Linsley will help the Packers combat the interior of the Lions defensive line, which features veterans such as Damon Harrison and A’Shawn Robinson. Former Packers defensive lineman Mike Daniels (foot) is not expected to play.
