Packers at Chiefs: TV schedule, streaming, how to watch

The Green Bay Packers (6-1) hit the westward road to face the Kansas City Chiefs (5-2) in a primetime matchup on Sunday night. This will be the first Sunday night game ever between the two teams.

This matchup had an extraordinary amount of weight going into the season. Aaron Rodgers vs. Patrick Mahomes was a much-anticipated battle before Mahomes suffered a knee injury in Week 7. The reigning NFL MVP won’t play Sunday night, leaving Matt Moore to start for the Chiefs. The 35-year-old Moore signed with Kansas City this offseason after spending seven seasons in Miami.

The Packers last played the Chiefs at Lambeau Field in 2015 on Monday Night Football. Green Bay won 38-28. Going even further back, the Packers last played at Arrowhead in 2011. Green Bay entered the game 13-0 and Kansas City sat at 6-7. The Chiefs pulled off the improbable upset under interim head coach Romeo Crennel, 19-14. Kansas City gave Green Bay its only loss during the 2011 season.

Overall, the Packers have won two of their last three games against the Chiefs and hold a 3-7-1 all-time, regular-season record versus Kansas City.

The Packers will stay on the road in Week 9 to play their final AFC West opponent, the Los Angeles Chargers (2-5).

NBC will broadcast the game to a nationally-televised audience. Al Michaels (play-by-play) will be joined by Cris Collinsworth (analyst) in the booth with Michele Tafoya reporting from the sidelines.

The game can be heard over Milwaukee’s WTMJ (620 AM) and the Packers Radio Network, which is made up of 50 stations in five states. Wayne Larrivee (play-by-play) and Larry McCarren (analyst) will call the action with John Kuhn providing coverage from the sidelines. The game will also be aired over Westwood One Sports and the WTMJ feed of Sirius Satellite Radio.
