Packers adding defensive lineman Josh Avery to roster

The Green Bay Packers should have a full 90-man roster for Wednesday’s walkthrough.

According to Bill Huber of SI.com, the Packers are adding defensive lineman Josh Avery to the roster.

Avery, an undrafted free agent from SE Missouri State, had a reported tryout with the Packers before the signing.

Avery (6-3, 318) provides size and depth for a position group with only seven active players.

At his pro day before the 2020 draft, Avery posted terrific numbers in the vertical leap, broad jump and 10-yard split. NFL teams are always on the hunt for athletic big guys.

The Seattle Seahawks signed Avery as an undrafted free agent in 2020, but he never participated during camp last summer.
