Packers add former Jets G Ben Braden to practice squad

The Green Bay Packers refilled their 10-player practice squad on Thursday by signing former New York Jets guard Ben Braden, a former undrafted free agent who was released by the Jets on Sept. 10.

The Packers had a spot open after promoting receiver Allen Lazard to the active roster before last week’s win over the Chicago Bears.

Braden, a 36-game starter and two-time All-Big Ten pick while at Michigan, played in two games for the Jets last season. He was on the field for eight snaps on special teams, including seven against the Packers in Week 16.

The 6-6, 329-pounder played in all four preseason games for the Jets this summer. He spent time on the Jets’ practice squad each of the last three seasons.
