Packers activate QB Jordan Love from COVID-19 reserve list

The Green Bay Packers activated backup quarterback Jordan Love from the COVID-19 reserve list on Wednesday.

Love, who was originally placed on the reserve list last Monday, was back at practice and on the field with the team on Wednesday. He will be the No. 2 quarterback when the Packers travel to Baltimore to face the Ravens on Sunday.

While the rest of the NFL is going through a massive COVID-19 outbreak, the Packers have no players on the reserve list now that Love is back. Coach Matt LaFleur confirmed that the team had no new cases as of Wednesday.

With Love out last week, Kurt Benkert backed up Aaron Rodgers during the Packers’ 45-30 win over the Chicago Bears. He played two snaps, kneeling down twice to end the game. He has since reverted back to the practice squad.

Love, the team’s first-round pick in 2020, has played in four games for the Packers this season, including one start. He completed 24 of 41 passes for 258 yards, one touchdown and one interception, with a passer rating of 75.1.
