Packages stolen from residences in Bridgeport: police

Chicago police are warning residents of a three package thefts reported in December in Bridgeport on the South Side.

In each incident, someone remove packages from residential areas, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

These thefts happened between 4:10 p.m. and 6:55 p.m. Dec. 9 to residences in the 300 blocks of West 29th Place and West 30th Place, as well as the 3800 block of South Emerald Avenue, police said.

The incidents in the 300 block of West 29th Place and the 300 block of West 30th Place, victims told police a 2004 GMC Envoy station wagon with an 469209 Illinois license plate was involved, police said. In the third incident, victims told police they saw a black utility vehicle.

Police believe three men are involved.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Area Central detectives at 312-747-8382.
