Pablo Torre watched by Rangers as Real Madrid and Serie A heavyweights rival Gio van Bronckhorst for Spanish talent

Rangers are keeping tabs on Spanish kid Pablo Torre.

The Racing Santander midfielder has been recommended to the Ibrox club's scouts as a potential summer target.

Torre has been a sensation in Spain's third tier for Santander, who have fallen down from La Liga due to financial problems.

Racing have tied him down on a contract to 2025 with a transfer release clause, believed to be around £4 million.

But the club needs cash and Torre is highly rated in his Spain as an Under-19 international.

He's earned rave reviews with three goals and six assists for Racing Santander already this season.

Rangers have been alerted to his progress and Torre will be watched by their recruitment team.

But clubs in Spain, including Real Madrid, and Italy are also tracking the talented 19-year-old.

Under Spanish employment law all players must have a release clause inserted into their contract, meaning all suitors will know exactly the fee required to land Torre.

That's what allowed Paris Saint-Germain to land Neymar from Barcelona for a record £200million, with the big guns setting the clauses at prohibitive prices.

For example, Karim Benzema is believed to have a €1billion release clause in his Real Madrid contract.

But Rangers may not even have to pay the clause given the financial problems at Racing.
