Pablo Mari wants permanent Arsenal transfer calling for "good end for everybody"

Pablo Mari has made it clear he wants a permanent move to Arsenal , saying he is "so happy" at the Emirates and wants "a good end for everybody".

After joining on loan from Flamengo in January, Spanish centre-back Mari has played Arsenal's last two games, helping Mikel Arteta's side keep clean sheets against West Ham and Portsmouth.

On Wednesday the 26-year-old will travel to face Manchester City , where he spent three years before leaving eight months ago without having got anywhere near the first team.

Now, having worked his way into Arteta's first-team thinking, Mari plans to impress the Gunners chief in the hope of earning a permanent deal.

“I don’t want to look back, I want to look forward," said Mari in quotes reported by the Daily Star .

"Now I am in a really good club and I want to continue here for a lot of years.

“I am so happy here. I am going to try and do my best until the end of the season.

“I hope also the club is happy with me and then we are going to find a good end for everybody.”

Mari admits his time at City was "a missed opportunity" but says he wants to make up for lost time at Arsenal.

“Was it a missed opportunity at City? Maybe," he said. "In that time, for me in my mind, I wanted to play with them. This was not possible.

“So now for me it is another situation. I want to play a lot of years here with Arsenal. It is another situation and I am really happy now.

“I’ve learned a lot since I left City because when I was there I was young, now I am a little bit older. I learned a lot in all the teams I have played. So I think it is different."
