Pablo Mari has touched down in the UK.
Goal.com caught up with the 26-year-old at Heathrow airport on Saturday afternoon and he had a message for Arsenal fans ahead of undergoing a medical at London Colney with the view to joining on loan.
Asked if he's excited to join the Gunners, Mari had a three word response: "Yes of course."
These comments are getting likely to increase the excitement among Arsenal fans about the prospect of Mikel Arteta finally bolstering his defensive options with six days left of the January transfer window.
The Flamengo centre-back is the chosen one by the Gunners amid links to the likes of Jerome Boateng, John Stones and Mykola Matviyenko among plenty others this month.
Football.london understands Arsenal are working on a loan deal for the Flamengo star, with an option to make the deal permanent in the summer.
Earlier in the day, Arsenal fans were attempting to track his flight into London.
Of course there was no concrete way of knowing Mari's flight details.
But that didn't stop fans doing a bit of research in the hope of following his journey from Brazil to London Colney.
One fan in particular worked out Mari is on a British Airways flight which was due to land in the UK at around 12pm this afternoon (Saturday).
Naturally this brought about some funny responses.
