Pablo Hernandez signs new Leeds United deal

Leeds United have announced that Pablo Hernandez has signed a new contract at Elland Road.

The influential Spaniard has put pen to paper on a fresh two-year deal with the club, committing his future until 2022.

The 34-year-old has won the club's Player of the Year award for the past two seasons, excelling under Marcelo Bielsa following the head coach's arrival in 2018.

Hernandez joined Leeds in 2016 and quickly became a key player with the squad and has netted twice this season, despite an injury lay-off which saw him miss Leeds' October fixtures.

The former Valencia man has become the seventh first-team player to sign a new deal at Elland Road this season, joining the likes of Kalvin Phillips, Liam Cooper, Luke Ayling and Mateusz Klich in committing their futures to club.
