'It's obvious we need to strengthen' Leeds United fans react as starting XI confirmed for QPR clash

Pablo Hernandez has returned to the Leeds United starting XI to face Queens Park Rangers in today's early kick-off, but fans have voiced their concern at the lack of depth on the bench.

The Spaniard replaces the injured Barry Douglas in the only change to Marcelo Bielsa's line-up from the side that lost 2-0 at home to Sheffield Wednesday last weekend.

The Scot's injury means that Stuart Dallas is moved to left-back, meaning Hernandez can be accommodated in midfield.

Kiko Casilla continues in goal, with a back four of Luke Ayling, Ben White, Liam Cooper and Dallas.

Kalvin Phillips takes up his usual position in front of the defence, with Mateusz Klich and Hernandez in the middle.

Jack Harrison and Helder Costa will again offer the width, with leading scorer Patrick Bamford up front again, while the bench features a number of young players, with the average age being just 20.4 years old.

Jack Clarke, who signed for QPR on Thursday, is on the bench for the hosts.

Second-place Leeds saw the gap to third place cut to just four points last night after Fulham saw off Middlesbrough in the Friday night fixture.

Leeds United: Casilla, Ayling, White, Cooper, Dallas, Phillips, Klich, Harrison, Costa, Hernandez, Bamford

Subs: Meslier, Casey, Alioski, Struijk, McCalmont, Shackleton, Stevens
