Pablo Hernandez on the bench again as Marcelo Bielsa names Leeds United XI to face Luton Town

Marcelo Bielsa has resisted the urge to recall Pablo Hernandez to his starting line-up by naming an unchanged side to face Luton Town this evening.

Leeds United host the Hatters at Elland Road following a superb 3-0 win over Fulham at the weekend which saw Hernandez come off the bench at half-time to return from injury to match-changing effect.

But with the Whites facing their first of seven matches over the next 22 days, Bielsa has again opted to not to start the Spaniard, which means Tyler Roberts will continue in the playmaker role.

Illan Meslier is again in goal, with an unchanged back-four of Luke Ayling, Ben White, Liam Cooper and Stuart Dallas, as Leeds aim for a seventh clean sheet in eight matches.

Kalvin Phillips is in his usual position in front of the back-four, with Mateusz Klich and Roberts ahead of him.

Jack Harrison and Helder Costa again provide the width, while Patrick Bamford, who netted the opener on Saturday before being taken off at half-time, will continue to lead the line.

Hernandez is back on the bench, with Robbie Gotts returning to the matchday squad in place of Jordan Stevens.

Leeds United: Meslier, Ayling, White, Cooper, Dallas, Phillips, Klich, Harrison, Costa, Roberts, Bamford

Subs: Miazek, Douglas, Alioski, Berardi, Shackleton, Gotts, Poveda, Hernandez, Struijk

Leeds go into the midweek fixtures three points clear of West Bromwich Albion at the top of the Championship and enjoying an eight-point buffer to third-placed Brentford.
