Leeds United fans are all repeating the same name after the announcement of the EFL Awards shortlists this afternoon.
Pablo Hernandez, one of only two players in the Championship to have gone beyond double figures in goals and assists this season, has been overlooked entirely.
The Spanish playmaker is neither named in the Championship’s Team of the Season nor among the Player of the Season candidates.
The player award is decided by the 24 managers in the division, whose votes are then used to establish the best XI, but Hernandez did not pick up enough votes for either gong.
Naturally, Whites fans have been quick to jump on the slight and ponder why the 33-year-old has been overlooked for the likes of Oliver Norwood and Jarrod Bowen.
