MANILA, Philippines — Philippine showbiz mourned the passing of veteran actor Eddie Garcia, who died at the age of 90, days after being hospitalized for an accident that happened while he was taping a TV show.
His death was confirmed through a medical bulletin from the Makati Medical Center. Dr. Antonio Rebosa, who serves as the family's spokesperson, confirmed to Rappler that the actor died at 4:55 pm.
Philippine celebrities and many of Eddie's biggest fans shared their grief for the loss of Manoy, paying their most heartfelt tributes online.
