P!nk trolls Donald Trump over Tulsa rally attendance

P!nk has mocked Donald Trump over the attendance of his Tulsa rally this weekend, after the US president boasted that he would draw a crowd of 1 million.

Taking to Twitter on Sunday, the So What hitmaker commented: "I think I sold that same place out in five minutes," along with #donkeyshow and laughing cat Emoji.

P!nk previously played at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2018 before the pandemic spread and it was safe for large crowds to gather. The venue has a maximum capacity of 19,000.

On the weekend, footage of Mr Trump's rally - which was also the first in his 2020 campaign - showed a sea of empty seats.

The coronavirus pandemic has meant extra safety precautions are in place, and Mr Trump's own task force urged the President not to go ahead with the rally.

Despite their warnings, Mr Trump and his White House staff confirmed the event, with attendees being made to sign a waiver in advance saying they took full responsibility if they fell ill.

P!nk was also quick to call out the President's apparent lack of regard for the warnings made by experts, writing: “[...] Don’t hurt the people that love you. I would never ask people to come to an arena right now. No good person would."

Mr Trump also abandoned a speech he had planned on giving about the "overflow" of attendees.

The US President was also called out for referring to coronavirus as the "Kung Flu", while telling supporters that he had asked for the rate of coronavirus testing to be slowed down, to avoid the appearance of alarming numbers being reported.

A representative since told Reuters that the President was "joking".
