Ozzy Osbourne's ploy to sell own DNA for £335 a pop sells out

The legendary Black Sabbath frontman, 76, has teamed up with edgy beverage brand Liquid Death to launch a bizarre new product: limited edition iced tea cans infused with his actual DNA.

Called Infinite Ozzy, the stunt features just 10 collector’s cans — each sipped by Ozzy himself before being sealed and sold for £335 apiece. Along with traces of his saliva, each can includes his handwritten signature and is billed as a one of a kind item.

"Ozzy Osbourne is 1 of 1. But we’re selling his actual DNA so you can recycle him forever," boasts the company.

A tongue in cheek promo video shows the 76 year old rocker swigging from the cans, crushing them with his bare hands, and placing them in sealed containers. "There will never be another Ozzy Osbourne… unless you have his actual DNA," the voiceover declares. "Introducing Infinitely Recyclable Ozzy."

The video goes on to imagine a world where cloning Ozzy is a reality, featuring a spoof scene of a young Osbourne performing at a child’s birthday party — before terrifying the kids by biting the head off a toy bat.

"If science and the law catch up," the ad says, "you could one day recreate 80s Ozzy to mow your lawn, sing at birthday parties, or do whatever you want."

Despite the outrageous concept, fans were quick to bite — with all 10 cans now officially sold out."Clone me, you b******ds," the dad-of-three joked in the official press release.

The Crazy Train hit maker is clearly quite the entrepreneur — earlier this week, he also announced a Where’s Wally style book titled Where is Ozzy?

Where is Ozzy hits shops next month

LA-based animation studio and book publisher Fantoons unveiled the title, inspired by the music and milestones of Osbourne’s solo career.

From Blizzard of Ozz to No More Tears, each double page spread is set to feature detailed illustrations packed with references to Osbourne’s back catalogue.

The book also promises a treasure trove of hidden details and nods to fans, offering a mix of fun and nostalgia for both long time followers and casual readers.

Both projects arrive as the ailing rocker prepares for Back to the Beginning, his farewell performance scheduled for July 5.

Osbourne, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2020, has battled a number of serious health issues in recent years, including multiple surgeries and spinal problems, prompting him to cancel several live appearances and tours.

Despite this, he has remained characteristically defiant, frequently assuring fans that he’s not ready to be counted out just yet.
