Ozzy Osbourne's lead guitarist Jake E Lee in ICU after being shot 'multiple times'

Guitarist Jake E Lee, best known for his stint with rock leged Ozzy Osbourne, is currently in intensive care after being shot multiple times in Las Vegas.

The incident occurred early Tuesday morning when Lee was out walking his dog. According to a statement from his management, the musician is conscious and expected to make a full recovery.

"Jake E. Lee was shot multiple times early this morning in a Las Vegas street shooting," the statement read, as reported by NZHerald.

"Lee and his family request privacy during this time," the statement concluded.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that officers responded to a shooting on October 15, 2024, at around 2:42 am on Alora Street. Upon arrival, they found a male victim, later identified as Lee, who had sustained gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to a hospital for treatment. Authorities have yet to make any arrests and are treating the incident as a 'random' act of violence.

Jake E Lee shot to fame as Ozzy Osbourne's lead guitarist for over 5 years during their performances between 1982 to 1987. He contributed to albums like 'Bark at the Moon' and 'The Ultimate Sin'. Despite being approached years later for a potential reunion, Lee declined, citing unresolved issues over songwriting credits.
