"I’m grateful for the love and support I’m getting from my family, my band, friends and fans, it’s really what’s keeping me going.

"Just know that I am getting better every day…I will fully recover…I will finish my tour…I will be back!"

In the meantime, the metal legend will need round the clock medical attention for the foreseeable future.

Ozzy's health woes come as his son Jack has also been dealt a bad hand recently, after being brutally attacked outside a coffee shop in LA.

The unprovoked incident took place in Studio City, and Jack is said to have got up and threw his coffee at the man, who then ran away.
