Ozzy Osbourne dons Christmas jumper in sweet family photo after Sharon's hospital stint

Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne has gotten into the Christmas spirit in true goth style with a personalised Christmas jumper and a dark expression.

Posing for a festive snap alongside daughter Kelly and Billy Idol guitarist and pal Billy Morrison, Ozzy refused to crack a smile for the camera despite the festive season.

Ozzy posted the snap to his Instagram, with the caption: "Bah, Humbug!"

Fans wished the star season's greetings but also checked in to see how wife Sharon Osbourne is doing whilst recovering after a recent illness. Sharon was rushed into hospital last week for a 'medical emergency' but has since returned home.

The former X factor judge has since appeared on social media to reassure fans she is recovering and that she was 'back home and doing great'.

Eager fans asked Ozzy: "How is Sharon doing?"

Some fans also sent well wishes, as one commented: "I hope Sharon is doing ok, i heard she was hospitalized . Take good care of yourselves".

Another added: "I hope Sharon will be home soon."

A few hours before Ozzy shared his not so festive snap, Sharon had updated fans on her recovery. On her own Instagram, the 70-year-old star uploaded a snap of her posing with one of her dogs in front of the Christmas tree.

She captioned the post: "Back home and doing great!"

It comes after Sharon's son Jack released a statement on his Instagram clarifying that Sharon was on the mend.

In his statement, he said: "OK here is what I'll say - first things first MY MOTHER WASN'T FILMING A EPISODE OF @ghostadventures. She was filming a new episode of Night of Terror with me. Hahaha.'

"Now that we have made that clear... She had been given the all clear from her medical team and is now home.

"Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support. As to what happened to my mum - I'm gonna leave it to her to share about when she is ready."
