Ozzy Osbourne cancels US tour dates to seek Parkinson's treatment ahead of Manchester gig

Ozzy Osbourne has cancelled the North American leg of his No More Tours 2 tour to seek treatment for Parkinson's disease.

The Black Sabbath frontman is due to perform in Manchester on November 2 - a show that he has already had to postpone twice due to health concerns.

The heavy metal legend is set to travel to Switzerland to receive treatment for Parkinson's disease this April, forcing him to cancel 17 dates.

The dates haven't been rescheduled, with the 71-year-old musician saying: "I'd rather they [ticket-holders] get a refund now and when I do the North American tour down the road...

"Everyone who bought a ticket for these shows will be the first ones in line to purchase tickets at that time."

He revealed the devastating diagnosis on Good Morning America last month, describing it as the 'most miserable time of his life'.

In a recent print interview with Kerrang! magazine, he said: "Do I ever think about when my time's gonna come? I think about it; I don't worry about it.

"I won't be here in another 15 years or whatever, not that much longer, but I don't dwell on it. It's gonna happen to us all.

"That thing that knocked the s*** out of me, man, but I'm still here."

Ozzy first postponed his Manchester gig last year after being diagnosed with pneumonia.

He then had to postpone it again after needing to have surgery on his neck.

He is due to perform in Manchester this winter with support from heavy metal titans Judas Preist.

Speaking of the latest tour date cancellations, Ozzy said: "I'm so thankful that everyone has been patient because I've had a s**t year.

"Unfortunately, I won't be able to get to Switzerland for treatment until April and the treatment takes six to eight weeks."
