ST. LOUIS _ Marcell Ozuna homered and drove in five runs and Dakota Hudson had his longest outing of the season as the Cardinals posted a 6-3 win over Cincinnati at Busch Stadium on Saturday.
Ozuna hit a three-run homer in the third inning and doubled in two runs in the fifth. Ozuna has 26 RBIs in 26 games.
Hudson (2-1) worked 5 2/3 innings, giving up three runs on seven hits before the bullpen shut down the Reds over the final 3 1/3 without allowing a hit. Hudson has won his last two starts.
The Reds scored first, getting to Hudson for two runs in the third inning. But Dexter Fowler limited the damage by throwing out Eugenio Suarez at the plate to end the inning.
The Cards had several other chances to score in the early innings but had rallies struck down by double plays in the first, second and fourth innings.
Harrison Bader drove in the final run with a single in the sixth to score Fowler, who was hit by a pitch.
Yadier Molina extended his hitting streak to 14 games and Paul Goldschmidt extended his streak to 13. Jordan Hicks pitched a perfect ninth inning for his eighth save.
