Ozuna breaks Justin Bieber's YouTube record of number of videos with a billion views

Justin Bieber‘s YouTube record has been surpassed by Puerto Rican musician Ozuna.

The latter’s new collaboration with DJ Snake, Selena Gomez and Cardi B – titled “Taki Taki” – has surpassed one billion views on YouTube, making it the seventh of his music videos to reach the milestone.

This breaks Bieber’s record of six videos with more than one billion views each; both are credited as the lead artist on four of their music videos, with the others seeing them in the role of featured artist.

Ozuna took to Instagram to celebrate, writing (in a translation via Billboard): “Thanks to all the colleagues who believe in me and always count on me, we continue here I love them and blessings to all, they are part of my success. I love my fans a lot and thank you for never abandoning me.”

Bieber’s six videos with one billion views or more are: ”Sorry” (3.1 billion), “Baby” (2.1 billion), “What Do You Mean?” (1.9 billion), “Love Yourself” (1.4 billion), “Where Are U Now” by Skrillex and Diplo feat. Justin Bieber (1.1 billion), and “I’m The One” by DJ Khaled featuring Bieber, Quavo, Chance the Rapper and Lil Wayne (1.1 billion).

Ozuna’s videos with one billion views or more are: Natti Natasha x Ozuna, “Criminal” (1.7 billion views); Casper, Nio García, Darell, Nicky Jam, Bad Bunny and Ozuna, “Te Bote (Remix)” (1.6 billion); Ozuna and Romeo Santos, “El Farsante” (1.2 billion); Chris Jeday, “Ahora Dice” featuring J. Balvin, Ozuna and Arcángel (1.1 billion); Wisin, “Escápate Conmigo” featuring Ozuna (1.1 billion); Ozuna, “Se Preparó” (1 billion); and DJ Snake, “Taki Taki” featuring Selena Gomez, Ozuna and Cardi B (1 billion).
