Arsenal players have been reacting in numbers to the sacking of Unai Emery.
On Friday morning it was announced that the Spaniard had departed north London after 18 months in charge following weeks of speculation regarding his future.
The decision didn't come as too much of a surprise as the pressure had been mounting on the former Sevilla and Paris Saint-Germain boss after overseeing a winless run which stretches to seven games across all competitions.
The 2-1 defeat at home against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League on Thursday night was the final straw for Emery, with the Gunners confirming his departure in a statement less than 24 hours later.
In the statement, which was published on Arsenal's website, Josh Kroenke spoke on behalf of the board and the club's owners Kroenke Sports & Entertainment.
"Our most sincere thanks go to Unai and his colleagues who were unrelenting in their efforts to get the club back to competing at the level we all expect and demand," Kroenke said.
"We wish Unai and his team nothing but future success."
This prompted responses from several first-team players.
Emiliano Martinez was the first to break the squad's silence with a message on social media and he was soon followed by David Luiz, Dani Ceballos, Calum Chambers, Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka in wishing Emery all the best in the future.
Furthermore, full-backs Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney as well as centre-backs Sokratis and Rob Holding have also been active on Instagram.
However, there are some who are yet to comment.
Most notably Mesut Ozil - who has posted on his Instagram account in the aftermath of Emery's exit but only to upload a picture of him in training with interim head coach Freddie Ljungberg.
Other players yet to break their silence regarding Emery's departure include Lucas Torreira - linked with an exit in the upcoming transfer window - and Granit Xhaka who was stripped of the captaincy by the Spaniard earlier in the month.
Nicolas Pepe, the club's record signing is yet to speak out likewise is Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Bernd Leno, Gabriel Martinelli, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Emile Smith-Rowe.
Maybe it's possible some are just waiting for the right time to say their peace.
