Ozark season 3: Netflix renew Jason Bateman-starring series

Netflix

Netflix has renewed the Jason Bateman-starring series Ozark for a third season.

The streaming service has confirmed that the third series will consist of 10 episodes, the same as the first two seasons.

Centred on a former accountant who becomes entwined with a dangerous drug cartel, the series has quickly become a favourite among critics and viewers, with one survey finding that the show was the Netflix’s most-watched title during the summer of 2017.

A release date for season three has not been announced, but considering season one arrived 21 July, 2017, and season 2 following on 31 August, 2018, we can likely expect it to be available on Netflix around September 2019. There’s also been no confirmation on returning cast members, although Bateman and co-star Laura Linney are likely to return.

Bateman directed multiple episodes of Ozark and serves as an executive producer. Bill Dubuque and Mark Williams created the series while Bateman’s Aggregate Films produce it in association with Media Rights Capital for Netflix.
