Ozan Kabak sends six-word message ahead of Liverpool reunion

Liverpool could line up against a familiar face on Tuesday night as they prepare to take on Ozan Kabak's Norwich City in the League Cup.

The Turkey international joined the Canaries on loan from Schalke last month, having spent the second half of last season on loan at Anfield.

Making 13 appearances for Jurgen Klopp 's side, the 21-year-old helped the Reds qualify for the Champions League despite missing the end of the season through injury, with Liverpool ultimately deciding against signing the centre-back permanently and moved for Ibrahima Konate in a £36m deal from RB Leipzig instead.

With Schalke suffering relegation from the Bundesliga in Kabak 's absence last season, he was always likely to depart and eventually clinched a temporary switch to Carrow Road.

Having made his debut for Daniel Farke's side in a 3-1 defeat to Watford on Saturday, the Turk is now in line for a swift reunion with Klopp's men in the League Cup.

And Kabak took to social media ahead of the game as he looked forward to facing his former club.

"Tough and meaningful," he tweeted followed by a wink emoji. "Ready for it".

Kabak partnered Grant Hanley ahead of Ben Gibson and Andrew Omobamidele when making his Norwich debut, though it remains to be seen if Farke will start the Turk against Liverpool.
