Ozan Kabak's FIFA 21 rating assessed as Liverpool eye loan transfer on deadline day

With Liverpool closing in on the signing of Preston North End defender Ben Davies, the Reds are now being linked with a deadline day swoop for Schalke 04 defender Ozan Kabak.

The club have been continually linked with defender Kabak over the last six months and the ECHO understands the Turkish defender is someone under consideration for a loan, with the Reds continuing to scour the European transfer market to bring in an additional defender before the 11pm deadline.

This news comes after Jurgen Klopp's side made a move for Preston defender Davies, with the Reds on the brink of a £1.6million deal for the 25-year-old defender.

So, how good is Kabak? And, what are his best attributes? We used FIFA 21 to see what Liverpool fans can expect from the Turkish defender.

According to FIFA 21, Kabak is a superb prospect, with strong attributes including strength, jumping, aggression, heading accuracy, tackling, composure and sprint speed too.

In comparison to the current Liverpool defenders, Kabak's 75 overall rating would place him below Van Dijk (90), Joe Gomez (83) and Joel Matip (83), but way above, Rhys Williams (62), Nathaniel Phillips (68) and Sepp van den Berg (65).

In terms of technical ability, Kabak has decent composure (75), short passing (73) and ball control (72), which would suggest that the Turkish defender is more than capable in possession.

Overall, FIFA 21 suggests that Kabak is a superb young defender with exciting potential, who could become one of the best defenders at the club over the next few years, whilst also making the squad strong in the short-term.
