Oxford vs Sunderland team news: Parkinson sticks with same starting XI

Phil Parkinson named the same starting XI for the third game in a row, sticking with the side that won the back-to-back home games against Ipswich Town and Rochdale.

The Black Cats bench was also unchanged, with January recruits Kyle Lafferty, Josh Scowen, and Antoine Semenyo again included among the substitutes.

Oxford United boss Karl Robinson made three changes to the side that forced a late draw at Burton Albion in midweek.

Elliott Moore, Anthony Forde, and Daniel Agyei came into the side in place of Sam Long, Nathan Holland, and the injured Liam Kelly.

Former Sunderland youngster Alex Gorrin missed out as he started a two match ban after collecting his tenth booking of the season after coming on as a substitute against the Brewers
