Three men have been taken to hospital and two arrested over a triple stabbing outside a nightclub popular with celebrities in central London, police said.

The victims, all aged 24, were attacked on Oxford Street in the early hours of Sunday morning, the Metropolitan Police said in a statement.

All three men are suffering from stab and slash injuries, with blood left spattered along the pavement close to Tape London after the attack.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene on the pavement in Oxford Street at around 3.40am on Sunday.

The victims were taken to a central London hospital, but police have confirmed that their injuries are not life-threatening.

Two men, aged 23 and 24, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon after the attack.

They are currently in custody at central London police stations, police said.

A spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police added: "Detectives from Westminster are investigating and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the assaults or the moments leading up to them.

"Anyone who has information should contact police on 101 quoting reference 1293/17Feb or to remain anonymous please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
