Oxford issued winding-up order as Charlton target ex-Birmingham boss

U's served winding-up order

Oxford United have been served a winding-up order over late stadium payments, Sky Sports reports .

The club was handed a petition yesterday (Wednesday) by the stadium owners Firoka.

The U's released a statement today saying meetings with the owners were not forthcoming despite efforts to resolve the situation and claimed a meeting on March 26 was cancelled.

Defender considers staying

On-loan Plymouth defender Oscar Threlkeld says he may stay at the club next season.

The 25-year-old left Home Park last summer for Belgian side Beveren, only to return again on loan in January.

He still has two years left on his contract, BBC Sport reports .

Addicks to go for Clark if necessary

Charlton will approach former Birmingham City boss Lee Clark - should Lee Bowyer be poached from them.

Bowyer is interested in taking charge of the West London Championship club after they sacked Steve McLaren.

However, there has been no discussions between the club and player as yet, Tribal Football reports .
