Oxford Circus tube station reopened following fire alert

Oxford Circus underground station has been reopened following a fire alert.

The station was evacuated and firefighters were called shortly after 8am as communters made their way to work, but was re-openned less than an hour later.

Transport for London said on their Twitter feed that the station was once again "fully open".
