'Ownership of 89 acres of land in Viveka's name in Pulivendula transferred to his wife and daughter in Jan 2023, four years after his murder'

TIRUPATI: Four years after YS Vivekananda Reddy was found murdered at his own residence at Pulivendula in Kadapa district on March 14-15, 2019, the ownership of properties in his Viveka's name in an extent of 89.83 acres at various places in Pulivendula assembly constituency, were transferred to his wife Sowbhagyamma and daughter Dr Narreddy Sunitha Reddy in January this year.

This starling development was brought to light by the close aides of Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy.

Sources close to the Avinash Reddy released land holding records maintained by the Andhra Pradesh revenue department to substantiate their claim.

According to the revenue records, the ownership of properties in the name of YS Vivekananda Reddy in about 48.24 acres of land at Rangapuram under Pulivendula municipality limits, in 21.49 acres at Ravulakolanu village at Simhadripuram mandal, in 10.63 acres at Nidivella village in Simhadripuram mandal and about 9.47 acres at Teliki village at Simhadripuram mandal, were transferred to his wife Sowbhagyamma and daughter Sunitha Reddy in January this year.

Sources close to the Kadapa MP pointed out that YSRTP founder YS Sharmila, had rubbished off the "murder for gain" theory that YS Vivekananda Reddy was murdered by his own son-in-law Narreddy Rajasekhar Reddy, by claiming that Viveka got his entire property registered in his daughter's name long time ago.

"If Viveka got all his properties registered in his daughter's name longtime ago, how did these properties measuring 89 acres surface all of a sudden. As per the revenue records it is very clear that the ownership of the properties in the name of Vivekananda Reddy were transferred to his wife and daughter only in January this year, almost four years after he was murdered. As such YS Sharmila's theory that Viveka's death was not a case of murder for gain falls flat as properties in his name are still being registered in the name of his family members, even four years after his mysterious death", Avinash Reddy sources observed.
