Owners willing to pay £1,000 for safe return of beloved dog

The distraught owners of a 'stolen' dog are so desperate for her return they're offering to pay a staggering £1,000 reward.

Dave Forman, from Iwood, said the lurcher x whippet called Bean vanished on April 4.

And he's been so heartbroken by her disappearance, Dave's mother-in-law has now handed him £1,000 to give to anyone who returns the dog safely.

Bean was saved from a rescue home when Dave's daughter was seriously ill. Since then she has become a cherished member of the family.

The three-year-old dog was playing on Iwood Lane, outside Dave's house, near Congresbury when she mysteriously went missing.

Dave is convinced she was stolen because Bean 'never strayed far'.

"She saw us through a very hard time," said Dave. "She would never run off. I'm almost 100 per cent sure she was taken,

"My wife has taken it particularly badly. I thought I would be quite tough about these things but I'm finding it hard."

In a desperate bid to be reunited with Bean, Dave is now offering £1,000 for her safe return.

"We didn't have the money but my mother-in-law is helping us," said Dave. "We just want to see her home."

He also stressed that Bean was neutered and could not be bred from. She is chipped and was wearing a collar.
