The owners of one of the most iconic old pubs in Dublin want to partially demolish it to build a hotel on the site.
The Big Tree Pub, located on Dorset Street near Croke Park, has a rich history and was originally opened in 1453.
It is known for the live sports played across 20 screens inside as well as pool tables making for competitive live entertainment.

However, the owners of the pub - a hugely popular haunt for GAA fans - were granted planning permission for a hotel at the side of the premises last year.
Last year, The Dublin Loft Company also secured permission from Dublin City Council to build a 163 bedroom hotel incorporating the pub.
However, it has since emerged that it is now looking to amend that planning permission in order to allow the demolition and rebuilding of all but the ground floor.

The Irish Times reports that environmental watchdog An Taisce and local heritage group Mountjoy Square Society have objected to it.
Mountjoy Square Society have described the proposal as "frankly embarrassing".
In its submission to Dublin City Council, they said it would amount to a “crude destruction of authentic architectural heritage”.
It continued: "Any proposed demolition and rebuilding of the Big Tree pub would present a disingenuous, and quite frankly embarrassing, spectacle were it to be countenanced by the planning authority.”
The council has now given the developer six months to provide a revised report, the paper adds.
