The owners of a popular Rathfarnham cafe that was ravaged when a fire broke out on the premises have vowed to re-open the business
On Saturday, the Hazel House cafe was destroyed despite the hard work by Dublin Fire Brigade to save it.
Thankfully nobody was injured as a result of the blaze, but the owners now face a difficult future as they face the restoration of the premises.
Taking to Facebook this evening, they said they were "overwhelmed" by the messages of support from friends and customers.
Popular South Dublin cafe The Hazel House 'closed until further notice' following huge fire
They said: "Yesterday our beloved workshop and cafe was destroyed by fire.
"We have been overwhelmed with messages of support from our fantastic friends and customers.
"As you can see the damage is extensive but we built this business from scratch before and we will do it again.

"Thank you all for supporting us and thanks to Dublin Fire Brigade for their hard work yesterday."
Many locals showed their support for the popular cafe.
One local said: "Devastating for you all the main thing is nobody was injured. The Hazel House will rise again. The best of luck."

While another said: "This place has always been overflowing with love. Thank God no one was hurt. I can’t even begin to imagine the devastation you are all suffering. As I said yesterday, it was one of ‘my happy places’. The memories will live on and wishing you all strength and courage to rebuild in your own time."
Local TD Catherine Martin added: "So sorry to hear about the fire in The Hazel House. Love morning coffees there and beautiful craftsmanship in the workshop. Best of luck with the rebuild."
