A couple spent £3,000 to celebrate their English Bulldog’s birthday – including hiring a boat to stage his own music video.
Lauren Blake, 30, and her partner Kieran, from Nottingham, also had a life-sized replica of their nine-year-old dog Dave made from cake.
They commissioned Lara Mason, who runs the cake-making business Cake Everything, after finding her on TikTok where she regularly posts videos of her elaborate creations.
They even requested the cake be modelled in a sailor outfit to match Dave's on the big day.
The cake took three days to make, and used 80 eggs, 2.5kg of butter, 2.5kg of sugar and 2.5kg of flour, as well as 3kg of buttercream, 3kg of ganache and around 5kg of modelling chocolate.
Lara Mason, from Walsall, West Midlands told TeamDogs : "It is one of the more unusual orders- however those are always the most fun to do!"
It was presented as pride of place aboard the boat the couple hired for the occasion.
A videographer was on hand to capture every moment, creating a music-video style montage of the day, starring Dave.
Lauren Blake told TeamDogs : “Every year we go all out for his celebrations with the idea he’s here for such a short time so every birthday should be celebrated as a special one.

Previous birthdays have involved a pool party for dogs and humans, a cake smash photoshoot and a Covid-themed party in last year’s lockdown.
Dave even has his own Instagram presence, @dave_living_his_best_life where he boasts nearly 1,000 followers, with regular updates on his lavish life.
She added: “We have huge plans for his tenth birthday where we hope to take him around Europe to spend his retirement experiencing everything life has to offer- and all of the sniffs!”
