A dog owner in West Lothian is desperately searching for her beloved family pet after it went missing overnight.
Missy escaped from a garden near Blackridge on Monday, and may have suffered an injury to her head.
She had been staying with a family member of owner Angela Wilkinson, and was able to get out through a gate along with another dog.
While Alaskan Malamute Kye was recaptured Missy was last seen on the tracks near Blackridge train station. Missy - a Staffie/ Labrador/ Lurcher cross - may have been struck on the head by a metal pole.
Angela is now searching the area around the station, putting out bait and arranging for drones to fly over the area.
She is urging anyone in the area to keep an eye out for Missy, who will be cold and scared.
Angela said: "We're worried as there's really no way for her to get out the train tracks. We've been traipsing through field to get to her.
"It's been 24 hours, if she's injured she will be very cold. My children keep saying 'have you found her yet?'"
Missy has a grey beard, a white sock on her left paw and has a scar on her chest.
She is microchipped and has a pink collar on.
