Owner of Shawlands restaurant Oro left baffled as bike chained to shutter

Owners of the popular Shawlands restaurant Oro were met by a slightly bizarre sight this morning after finding a bike chained to their main shutter.

With the hospitality sector awaiting to reopen a week today, April 26, owners and staff have been building up preparations for the return of customers.

But when the team at Kilmarnock Road pizza restaurant Oro arrived to open up this morning, they were almost blocked in their path after a cyclist had chained their bike to the front shutter.

A photo shared by Oro on Facebook shows the bike suspended in the air after the shutters had been lifted.

Thankfully, the team at Oro, which is run by renowned pizza chef Domenico Crolla, have taken the incident in good spirits and are even offering a free bottle of prosecco to local southsiders who can come up with the best caption for the picture.

They commented: "How can someone think it’s ok to lock their bike on our shutters?

"Luckily we got them open.

"Bottle of Prosecco (the good stuff) to the best caption of this photo....."

Just another odd sight in Glasgow!

Oro will be welcoming in southsiders once more a week today.
