Former Liberal staffer Bruce Lehrmann's alleged car theft victim, her husband, son and five police officers are expected to give evidence at a court hearing into the saga.

Lehrmann has denied stealing a Toyota Prado at remote Mountain River in southern Tasmania on November 20, 2024.

The 30-year-old and lawyer Zali Burrows appeared via phone before Hobart Magistrates Court on Friday.

Ms Burrows said she would subpoena a media interview conducted by complainant Gail Oates that allegedly contained a different version of the incident to what she told police.

The defence had received previously redacted statements, which included the name of someone else Ms Oates believed might have taken the four-wheel drive.

"We may require more information in light of that," Ms Burrows told the court.

The yet-to-be-scheduled hearing would take four days, prosecutor Bunewat Keo said.

Ms Oates, her husband and son would all give evidence, as would a friend of Lehrmann and a service station worker able to give context about what happened that night, Mr Keo said.

Five police officers involved in the investigation would be called, and CCTV and police body-worn camera footage would be tendered.

The majority of the evidence had been disclosed, bar a bank statement and maps to assist the court, Mr Keo said.

Lehrmann's bail was continued and the matter was listed to return to court on October 31.

"Thank you, Your Honour," Lehrmann said at the end of proceedings.

He has been the subject of various court matters across Australia in recent years.

His trial for allegedly raping then-colleague Brittany Higgins at Canberra's parliament house in 2019 was abandoned in 2022 due to juror misconduct.

Lehrmann has appealed a subsequent Federal Court finding that determined on the balance of probabilities he raped Ms Higgins.
