Owner credits 'being nice' as holiday destination wins ROSE award

Woodfarm Barns in Suffolk has been named one of 100 recipients of VisitEngland’s ROSE award in 2022. The ROSE Awards celebrate establishments that, irrespective of their star rating, provide outstanding experiences for their customers.

Founder Carl Scott said: “Being nice to people isn’t rocket science, but too often businesses forget how important it is. Since we opened, that is what we’ve done: be nice to people. And this award shows it pays off. It’s my proudest achievement since starting Woodfarm Barns and I’m delighted for the brilliant team who support me.

“Because it’s an award that recognises customer service, it shows all of our team that we are doing things the right way, and the effort we go to is appreciated by our guests.”

Woodfarm Barns is a collection of six barns and two cottages in rural countryside near the Suffolk town of Needham Market, within a short drive of coastal resorts like Southwold and Lowestoft.

“The ROSE Awards celebrate and congratulate accommodation businesses across England excelling at customer service and creating stand-out experiences that keep visitors coming back time-after-time,” said VisitEngland Director Andrew Stokes.
