Owner builds luxury mansion for his three pet dogs with automatic doors and spa

We all love to pamper our loved ones, but one man took it a step further when he decided to build them a luxury mansion that was the envy of the entire neighbourhood.

The custom-built property comes equipped with a fully working spa, air conditioning, and even a slide.

The house is home to just three important family members - a bull dog, a husky and a shiba.

The three pooches live in the lap of luxury all at the expense of their doting owner.

Inside the mansion, an automated front door leads into a Zen garden, with cherry blossom flowers, lanterns and even pint-sized stone guard dogs in place of dragons.

The owner, from Xuyu in China's Jiangsu province, has even taken the liberty of installing a large cartoon 'scarecrow' to ensure his dogs are given peace and quiet.

The miniature buildings reflect a number of influences from Minnan (Hokkien) architecture, with traditional wooden structures and decoration.

But there is also the latest gadgets including a heated spa area, complete with it's own 'dryers' so the dogs can keep toasty.

The dogs have their own private living room, complete with a family portrait, and they also have their own private dog houses.

Owner Mr Zhou came up with the idea of building the property after one of his beloved dogs went into renal failure, after coming into contact with a poisonous substance.

In a bid to give his pooches the best possible life after the tragic incident, he invested nearly £4,000 in creating the custom built property.

Wu Dongbo, one of the neighbours, said: "I think the owner is creative.

"The doghouse is equipped with air conditioning because the dogs may feel cold in winter.

And during summer time, the dogs can swim in the pool. The house has a dryer when the dogs are wet as well as water purifier for their health."

"He is a loving and creative person", he added.

Gu Yufei, a visitor to the property, said: "If you are in a good financial condition, it is heart-warming that the owner can pay attention to building a fancy doghouse.

"If you have the capability to do it, I don't think people should judge it. After all, it is the 21st century and society is diverse."

China has recently undergone something of a pet owners renaissance, with an estimated 100 million dogs registered to live there.

Some owners reportedly spend hundreds on accessories and food, with some being treated like children by their devoted owners.
