Owl rescued after 'falling from sky' and crash landing in Glasgow city centre street

An owl has been rescued after 'falling from the sky' and landing in the middle of a Glasgow city centre street.

The long-eared owl crashed down onto Mitchell Street in the heart of Glasgow yesterday morning and was reportedly 'a bit concussed' after the unusual incident.

The owl is currently being cared for by Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue, an organisation which cares for Scotland's injured and orphaned wildlife.

Sharing a photo of the beautiful bird, they commented: "This long-eared owl was a surprise casualty from Glasgow this morning.

"Apparently it just fell out of the sky and landed in Mitchell Street, a bit concussed."
