Owen Warner almost QUIT I'm A Celebrity as he felt he had 'nothing to offer'

Owen Warner has admitted there were times he almost 'ran' from camp during his time on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

The actor, 23, looked back on his time in the jungle on Loose Women today and was even almost moved to tears when he was reunited with his former campmate Charlene White by surprise.

The Prince of the Jungle joined Stacey Solomon, Judi Love, Kaye Adams and Nadia Sawalha on the ITV show to give his first ever live TV studio interview almost one week on from leaving the I'm A Celebrity camp on Sunday.

After Nadia admitted she had considered baking a cake for the permanently hungry Hollyoaks star, Stacey explained how it was nice to see him in the jungle with 'no agenda' and just enjoy the experience.

"I had no agenda, it was a bucket list thing and to meet Ant and Dec," Owen explained. "I expected to be one of the first ones out and I was more than happy with that.

As Nadia asked if there were ever times he wanted to 'run' from camp, the star admitted: "Yeah, there were a few times when I thought 'what am i doing here' with so many amazing people talking about their careers and I didn't know what I had to offer."

Stacey - who was crowned Queen of the Jungle in 2010 -then asked the constantly peckish star how he coped with the lack of food in camp.

"The rice and beans i was fine with," Owen admitted, before Stacey recalled the dish 'tasting like farts'.

Laughing, Owen added: "I eat anything, which I think you've probably seen!"

Opening up about the reaction he's experience since Sunday's live final, the star told the panel: "It's been crazy! Even to the point where I was in the top with Jill [Scott]- my mind couldn't comprehend there was all this support!

"I had to take a while to turn my phone on as I was just crying all the time. I love kind people and beautiful words and there was so much of that!"

At this point, Charlene appeared on the show she routinely stars on to surprise her former campmate.

After hugging and emotionally reuniting with the ITV News presenter, Owen told Charlene's Loose Women co-stars: "She really looked after me [in the jungle]. I'm so close to my family and to not have anyone but to have someone like Charlene was just amazing."

He added: "She wasn't pushing me or trying to drill what was wrong with me - she was just cheering me up. Having someone like that in the jungle was just beautiful."

Earlier this week, Owen tucked into burger, chips, pizza, cake and more, as the Hollyoaks actor tries to put on some of the weight he lost in the jungle.

The soap star made no secret of the fact he was missing his grub during his time in camp, with ITV viewers left devastated last week when the hungry actor missed out on winning some chocolate brownies thanks to the campmates failing the daily Deals on Wheels challenge.

Speaking after Sunday night's I'm A Celebrity final, Owen explained how he entered the jungle weighing 13st 3oz, but drastically left over a stone lighter at 12st 2oz.

The actor even tucked into a pizza while having his hair cut earlier this week (@_owenwarner/Instagram)

He told the Mirror: "I have eaten a lot since I left. I was getting a haircut while eating my pizza like anytime he was cutting my hair, he stopped for a second and I was shoving pizza in my mouth.

"I would also recommend it. I don't think now I am going to get a trim without food!"

The gym addict went on to say: "I am 78kg, I was 85kg when I went in but give me a week and I will be back to 85.

"This week I reckon I am just going to eat as much as I can, pile it on and start gym next week I reckon."

*Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30pm on ITV and ITVHub
