Owen Hargreaves sends warning to Arsenal and Man United that Chelsea and Spurs fans will love

Owen Hargreaves has told Arsenal they need to find a way of winning this season’s Europa League as they won’t be finishing in the top four.

The Gunners go into the final matchday a point clear at the top of Group F but that could all change at the Stade Maurice Dufrasne.

Frankfurt, who currently sit second in the group, face winless Vitoria and a Liege victory could put them level on points with Arsenal.

All the Gunners need to do is avoid in defeat in Belgium and they will top their group and be seeded for the draw on Monday, thus avoiding some of the stronger teams dropping into the competition from the Champions League.

And Hargreaves believes due to some of the teams dropping into the Europa League from the Champions League, the competition has quickly become a lot harder to win for the Gunners.

“You think for Arsenal and Manchester United they are not going to finish in the top four so they have to find a way to win this competition,” the England international told BT Sport.

“For Arsenal this competition is huge. They have to win this game. But with Inter coming into this competition...with Salzburg and Ajax, Champions League semi-finalists last year, there are some really good teams in here.

“So I think for Arsenal and Manchester United winning the Europa League definitely isn’t as easy as it looks in the group stages.”
