Owen Hargreaves praises two Manchester United players and sets challenge after Norwich win

Owen Hargreaves wants to see 'more offensively' from Manchester United as they continue to adjust to life under interim manager Ralf Rangnick.

Having overseen games against Crystal Palace and Champions League opponents Young Boys, Rangnick picked up a victory in his first Premier League away match on Saturday afternoon.

Cristiano Ronaldo settled the scores late on from the penalty spot — his 13th goal of the season.

United were, however, indebted to David de Gea as the long-serving Spanish goalkeeper produced a couple of excellent saves to keep Norwich at bay.

Analysing the game for Premier League Productions, former United midfielder Hargreaves said: "You've got to find a way to win games. That's the most important thing.

"They weren't playing well and they weren't winning games — things had to change. They were conceding. Was it five against Liverpool? The game against Watford was the final nail in the coffin.

"Ideally, you want them to play great every game and you want them to win. Saturday was poor in comparison to the Palace game, but they won.

Where will United finish this season? Have your say in the comments section below.

"It's going to take time with the new manager; a lot of players are trying to find their position within the team.

"Offensively more needs to come, but David de Gea has, probably with [Cristiano] Ronaldo, been their best player this season. We saw that again on Saturday.

"A clean sheet is the basis for every great team."
