Owen Hargreaves picks his best Man Utd team for the rest of the season

Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has picked what he feels should be the starting XI for the rest of the season.

United have struggled this term and sit tenth in the Premier League ahead of their fixture at home to Brighton on Sunday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has chopped and changed due to injuries and some indifferent form, and the debate has raged on the terraces as to what is the Norwegian's best line-up.

Hargreaves has identified what he says Solskjaer should be doing for the rest of the campaign, with the ex-United midfielder adopting a formation with three at the back.

Both Hargreaves and Paul Scholes were in the BT Sport studio for the 3-0 win over Partizan Belgrade in the Europa League on Thursday evening, with the former England internationals sharing their thoughts on how United should shape up.

"I love Tuanzebe, I think he's going to be a good player. Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka in those wing-back positions is also good," Hargreaves told BT Sport.

"(Paul) Pogba and (Scott) McTominay can be box to box in those positions. The width comes from those wing-backs and then Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood can play more narrow.

"I think the balance of that team is good and they would score plenty of goals."

Hargreaves' best United XI: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Tuanzebe, Shaw, Pogba, McTominay, Greenwood, Martial, Rashford.
